Playing a Wind Instrument with Tongue Piercing

So I want to get my tongue pierced but the only problem is that I play saxophone. Do you think I would still be okay to play saxophone with tongue ring in?

Personally I don’t know much about piercing as I don’t have any and don’t want any in near future. But some of my friends do got it and I personally think it would get in the way, especially when playing any wind instrument.

I play the clarinet and when I was 17 I got my tongue pierced and I always left it in while playing – didn’t make a difference. I was 1st chair and the band director had never questioned me about it. It honestly doesn’t make a difference.

I've asked people who work at the piercing place, and they said it won't be a problem and of course if you gotten it pierced Colo and you don't have a problem - that's all I needed to know.
