 | There is no best guitarist. There are many great ones who are all talented and skilled enough to reproduce each other's songs and sounds. But it is the unique distinctive sound of each artist that makes them great, and that's something that comes from the soul, not from skill alone.

 |  best what ????????????? Well for sure i can't simply read your opinions regarding the best guitar player without comment . By using my own judgement about this question , i felt obliged to give the right answer . There's no best guitar player at all , this is one of the polls that i can't participite in . Still , this is my point of view . No doubt that Clapton is one of the best , i have 36 albums for Eric with different bands , line-ups , guest artists , and solo works . But Clapton is not simply the best , he's ONE OF THE BEST , Hendrix , Hooker , Peter Green , Santana , Mc Laughlin , B.B King and many others have the same talents , and maybe more than Clapton . As a guitar player myself , and a collector , i'm gonna use the right equation to choose the best . by selecting a new formula to do that . - Technically , Al Di Meola , Paco di Lucia , John Petrucci ( Dreamtheater) John Mc Laughlin , Steve Vai , Joe Satriani , Robert Fripp (King Crimson) Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) , Ritchie Blackmore ( Deep Purple & Rainbow) Steve Howe ( Yes) , Toni Iommi ( Black Sabbath) , etc ...... - Composers & Players , Steve Wilson ( Porcupine Tree) , Peter Hamill (Van Der Graaf Generator) , Steve Hackett ( Genesis) , John Lee Hooker , Muddy Waters , B.B King , Peter Green , David Gimour ( Pink Floyd) , Steve Hillage ( Gong) , Frank Zappa , Eric Clapton , Andy Latimer ( Camel) , Bob Dylan , Snowy White ( Roger Waters team ) , etc ...... In the next few days , i'll open new polls regarding , best guitarists , Keyboard players , bassists , drummers , vocalists and wind instruments . |
