There is a difference

These days and even in the past, "Techno" was the given name for every different genre of electronic dance music. It is not so people. I am not an expert, at all, but I do love the many different genres and have some basic knowledge.

Techno
Trance
Minimal
House
Drum n' Bass
Jungle
Breaks

These are the main genres and each has it's own sub-genres, specific to it's parent. There is something good in each. For instance, I love House, but more spefically, I love "Progressive-House". See? For me, Progressive-House is the "Progressive-Rock" of EDM. But I also love Techno, Trance & Breaks.
Minimal is my most least fav, but I do have a list of good artists in that genre.
